  • It's an experience that combines a cultural walk through Barcelona, stories about chess in Catalonia, tapas and games in a relaxed atmosphere.

  • The activity lasts about 2 hours: one hour of walking and a final hour with tapas, a drink and chess at Bar 64.

  • The meeting point is the Arc de Triomf, a very central and well-connected spot.

  • The route runs from the Arc de Triomf to Bar 64, passing through different corners of the Parc de la Ciutadella and the Parc de l'Estació del Nord. Along the way we'll discover stories of Barcelona and the role of chess in Catalonia, before finishing with tapas, a drink and games of chess.

  • No. The tour is designed both for people who already play and for anyone simply curious about chess, Barcelona or local culture.

  • Yes. Children of all ages are welcome, as long as they can walk and stand for about an hour.

  • It includes tapas to share, a drink (soft drinks, wines and cocktails!) and the chance to play chess on wooden boards with competition clocks.

  • The tour runs on a voluntary contribution. As a guide, the recommended contribution is €15–20 per person.

  • It can be run in Catalan, Spanish and English, depending on the date and the group.

  • Yes, we recommend booking in advance to secure your place and to prepare the activity well.

  • If the weather forecast doesn't allow the walk to go ahead normally, registered participants will be informed of an alternative or a possible change of date.
